Three battle-tested templates

Freelance Service Agreement, Mutual NDA and Statement of Work — each a complete, numbered contract with the clauses freelancers actually need: deposits, revisions, IP transfer, late-payment interest and more.

A questionnaire, not a blank page

Answer plain-English questions — who, what, how much, what happens if it goes wrong — and watch the full contract write itself in a live preview beside the form.

Typed e-signature links

Send one private link. Your client opens it anywhere, types their full legal name, ticks the agreement box, and the signature plus timestamp are recorded — no account, no printer.

Snapshot at send time

The moment you hit send, the document is frozen. Edits you make later never change what your counterparty is reviewing or signing, so there's never a dispute about versions.

Know when it's been seen

Every contract shows its status at a glance — draft, sent or signed — plus whether the counterparty has opened the link, so you know exactly when to nudge.

PDF & Markdown export

Print a clean, watermark-free PDF straight from the preview or download the contract as Markdown to keep in your own records and version control.

How it works

1

Answer the questionnaire

Pick a template and fill in the details — fees, deposit, revisions, IP, governing law. The contract assembles itself as you type.

2

Send the signing link

One click creates a private link with a frozen snapshot of the document. Your client reviews and signs with a typed signature — no login required.

3

Both sides keep a copy

The executed contract lives at the link with the signature and timestamp baked in. You see a green Signed badge; everyone can print or save a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are typed signatures legally binding?

Typed electronic signatures are widely accepted in many jurisdictions (for example under the U.S. ESIGN Act and the EU's eIDAS regulation), and every ContractCanvas contract records the signer's name, their explicit agreement and a timestamp. That said, ContractCanvas is not a law firm and nothing it generates is legal advice — every document includes a clear disclaimer, and you should have an attorney review contracts for high-stakes work.

Can I edit a contract after sending it?

You can keep editing your own copy, but the signing link shows a snapshot frozen at the moment you sent it — so what your client signs can never change under their feet. If you want them to see your edits, you resend, which refreshes the snapshot before anyone has signed. Once signed, the contract locks completely.

Which templates are included?

Three: a Freelance Service Agreement (scope, deliverables, fixed or hourly fees, deposit, revisions, IP ownership, termination, confidentiality and late-payment interest), a Mutual NDA (purpose, definition, exclusions and term), and a Statement of Work (milestones with dates and amounts, acceptance criteria and a change-request process). The free plan includes the Service Agreement; Lifetime unlocks all three.

Is it really a one-time price?

Yes. ContractCanvas Lifetime is $39 once — unlimited contracts, all three templates, e-signature links, no watermark and signed-status tracking, forever. No subscription, no per-signature fees.

Does my client need an account to sign?

No. The signing link is a standalone public page — your client opens it in any browser, reads the contract, types their full legal name, confirms agreement and signs. You're notified by the status flipping to Signed in your dashboard.
